NATASHA O’KEEFFE — LIZZIE SHELBY FROM PEAKY BLINDERS

1. Natasha Dervill O’Keeffe was born on 1 December 1986 in Brighton.
2. O’Keeffe moved to London at the age of 1 she was raised in Tooting, South London.
3. She is a British stage, television, and movie actress.
4. She is known for her roles as Abbey in the British television series Misfits, Fedora in ITV’s television series Jekyll and Hyde, as Emelia Ricoletti in the Sherlock New Year special episode “The Abominable Bride”.
5. She has also played the role of Lizzie Stark in the famous BBC series Peaky Blinders.
6. O’Keeffe trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and starred in a number of their stage productions.
7. O’Keeffe first came to public attention in 2008, playing a member of the Royal Family who enjoys parties, one night stands, and drugs in the music video for Falling Down.
8. This was the last single released by Oasis before the band dissolved. That same year, she had a part in the feature film Abraham’s Point.
9. In 2010 and 2012, O’Keeffe played Sadie in both seasons of BBC Three’s drama series Lip Service, about a group of lesbians living in Glasgow, Scotland.
10. In 2012 and 2013 she played Abbey Smith in the lead ensemble for the final two seasons of E4’s comedy-drama Misfits, about a group of young offenders in a London community service program who obtain supernatural powers.
11. In 2013, O’Keeffe had roles in television episodes of Law & Order: UK and Peaky Blinders and appeared in the feature films Filth and Svengali.
12. She played the role of a former prostitute living in the city of Small Heath, Birmingham.
13. Peaky Blinders fans may recognize O’Keefe from her roles in Misfits and Jekyll and Hyde.
14. For a short time, she was engaged to Thomas’s brother, John Shelby, however, the marriage was called off when John is made aware of her relations with his brother.
15. She currently works as a secretary and assistant for Thomas Shelby and occasionally does other tasks for the Peaky Blinders.
16. By the year 1929, Lizzie was now married to Thomas Shelby and the two had a child together. Their marriage, however, is depicted to be filled with strain as Thomas still continues to mourn over his true love, Grace.
17. At the end of Peaky Blinder season five, Lizzie and Tommy’s relationship had become increasingly strained.
18. In 2015, she starred as Fedora, the side-kick and lover of the main antagonist in ITV’s TV series, Jekyll and Hyde.
19. She also starred in a music video for Daughter’s song “Numbers” as part of a series of films for the band’s album Not to Disappear.
20. In 2016, she appeared in the Sherlock special “The Abominable Bride” as the title role Emelia Ricoletti.
